Sterling Infosystems Announces E-Verify Solution for Federal Contractors
New application helps employers ensure compliance and verify existing workforce
Sterling Infosystems Inc., a leader in employment screening services, announced today the release of its federal contractor application for E-Verify. Partnering with Form I-9 Compliance LLC, Sterling now offers a federal contractor dashboard incorporated with its electronic I-9 / E-Verify product, allowing employers with federal contracts to manage the process of verifying the work eligibility of their existing workforce.
The Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) final rule requires that as of September 8, 2009 federal contractors with contracts containing the FAR E-Verify clause must use E-Verify as a condition of their contract. Sterling's integrated federal contractor solution with Form I-9 Compliance allows for complete compliance with Executive Order 12989 by facilitating an E-Verify batch process for all legally mandated eligible employees. The application allows employers to verify employees assigned to a federal contractor or, if the employer elects to exceed the requirements of the rule, to verify their entire workforce.
The new federal contractor dashboard gives Sterling clients a high level view of their employees' work eligibility status, highlighting any items requiring action. In addition to running E-Verify on an employer's existing workforce, Sterling's solution leverages the subject matter expertise of their strategic partner Form I-9 Compliance to conduct a review of the employer's existing I-9 forms and make a determination on the best course of action for any flawed documents. The end result is a complete and electronically indexed database of employee information. |
