On May 20, 2010, the US Department of Labor issued its final rule on Notification of Employee Rights Under Federal Law. This rule, which went into effect on June 21, 2010, implements the provisions of Executive Order 13496, requiring covered federal contractors and subcontractors to post a notice informing employees of their rights to unionize and engage in certain protected activities under the National Labor Relations Act.
